Kansas' Lupus form is his most commonly seen shape. A silky coat of soft ivory is accented subtly by shades of pale cream, most visible in sunlight. His body is well-toned, but from a distance he appears more slender than he does bulky. Born with baby-blue eyes, they have become more vibrant with his maturity and now shine a stunning turquoise. His only scar is one he was given by Heath, marking the left side of his upper lip. He has a black stud in each ear as well as an eyebrow piercing on the right, in which he wears a black ring.

Exceptionally tall while in his Optime form, Kansas stands at nearly eight feet. Dark brown hair is short and styled with side swept bangs, messy and unkempt in the back. He occasionally wears tight-fitting dark jeans, but never a shirt. During fall and winter, he may be seen sporting scarf with a pattern of alternating dark and light blue stripes, a gift from Savina. He does not particularly enjoy wearing human clothes as he finds them too confining.

Known for his passivity, Kansas has been called a pansy more than once. He will rarely stick up for himself, and even less frequently will he defend anyone but his loved ones. In general, he is quiet and reserved, a definite introvert. He does not like to speak his mind and is therefore easily manipulated. Despite this unfortunate characteristic, he is exceedingly intelligent and intuitive. He spends a lot of time reading and pondering the ways of the world. He has the uncanny ability to detect the subtle intentions of others. Closed off to all but those closest to him, Kansas tends to form strong bonds with selected individuals, and to them he is unwaveringly loyal. He has an unmistakable awkwardness about him, but is almost always polite, softspoken, and considerate.
