Hummingbirds on caffine, LOL. 500+
It appeared to be that Slay seemed a little disapproving for Catalyst to repeat what he previously said, and wished that the language spoken would be kept between the two of them. Why was it such a big deal to not let Cercelee in on what they were talking about, especially what was previously said? Not realizing the true consequences that Slay might face if Catalyst happened to mutter out any foul language or somehow found out about this little situation in front of their Rosea guardian, at least Catalyst realized that whatever the reason was because, it was one that Slay did not like. Twisting her leather wolven lips in thought, she then nodded to him, agreeing that this was their own secret, and it was only theirs to keep. “Zustimmung, Slay, I won’ say anythin’.” She said, throwing in another choice vocabulary for him to figure out. She didn’t realize how angry or disapproving Cercelee would get, but from the looks of Slay’s reactions, it didn’t seem like a good thing, and Catalyst would try to avoid an enraged Cercelee at all costs if needed (she didn’t want to be bad in the presence of Cercelee anyway, for she was kind and considerate, and only deserved respect in return for what she gave to them).
At the mention of getting into some trouble, her ears perked forward in surprise, her dual hued gaze transfixing onto his for a second as to ask, did that really just come from your mouth? An adult that wants to actually get in trouble? Catalyst never even heard of a thing! The instant thought of Slay wanting to participate in something devious with her was certainly an exciting thought, and instantly the coyest of smiles that a puppy could do formatted across her ivory muzzle. Trouble, it was a word and action that was unavoidable to puppies, and the word made her adrenaline instantly kick. “Wha’ trouble will we do?!” She then exclaimed, a mischievous glint forming in her different colored eyes. To answer her exclamation, Slay noted about finding some honeycombs around here for a nice little treat this afternoon. Her stub of a tail instantly began to wag, and her mouth salivated as she anticipated the sweet taste of honey to dine upon with him. Slay was surely smart, he had to have known where all the honeycombs were kept in the company of bees, so it was simply a matter of finding the hive. Catalyst, however, never seen a real live hive before, so wouldn’t know what one was or where to find one. Instead, she assumed that maybe the bees had some honeycombs hidden in the flowers. “How’s do we get the honeycombs from them? They’s are so small?” The bees couldn’t possibly be carrying them with them under their wings, can they? From what she could remember, honey was a liquid form, and honeycombs were big yellow things with many holes in them. Catalyst had a bewildered look on her achromatic visage, at a loss to where Slay was actually going to obtain the honeycombs from. |

Coming from someone who never knew their biological father or had any type of father figure in her life, Catalyst was actually finding her time with Slay quite enjoyable and fun, despite the fact that her trust wasn't entirely won over yet (and in actuality would probably take a couple more sessions of interaction to even begin to feel comfortable to warm up to him as a true father figure). As far as she could remember, there had been several encounters with males in the past with her mother, and all of them to Catalyst seemed like brutes; arrogant, ignorant, disrespectful. So far, Catalyst could say Slay was the most respected male she ever came across (and that was saying a lot too, given that Slay was nicer than Conor Soul initially was when she would meet him at Whisper Beach). There seemed to be a peculiar spark of life within the adult, one that matched that of the pup's. Catalyst liked that, while adults and juveniles were two different worlds completely, Slay made it a little bit easier to relate, despite the age barrier between them.
Explaining that the honeycombs were not actually extracted by the bees, and actually originated from the hive, Catalyst's azure and steel hued eyes transfixed over to where it was motioned that the hive was situated. Observing the odd structure in the tree, the ivory pup was in amazement to see how ripe and full this hive looked to her (she was small, so in comparison, the hive looked huge!) "Is so big! How's are you gonna get it?" Her voice mimicked the whisper Slay's tone was at, keeping her voice low enough in fear that the bees might be able to pick up what the two were conspiring. There was no doubt that the hive was big, but so was Slay, much bigger than thought. It looked like it was pretty high off the ground too, at least from Catalyst's perspective, but Slay would probably prove to be very tall for his size if he reared up on two legs, given that he was already large as it was. The plan was in action, and listening carefully, Catalyst nodded to every initial step they needed to execute in order to snag a honey comb. Feeling the surge of adrenaline and excitement in her, it seemed to make sense, although it was in Catalyst's nature to actually want to run alongside Slay while he snagged a comb, but in actuality such a thing wouldn't be safe for a pup. She would have to be content with staying in the church until Slay dashed in, but glancing back at their home, Catalyst wasn't so sure at first if she could push one of those church doors entirely shut. "Uhm... yes. I's think I can do it..." Her voice was apprehensive, but compared to other puppies her age, Catalyst certainly had a lot of determination and will in her. "You's ready?" Her voice was kept soft in a whisper still, tilting her head and looking up at Slay, her tail ferociously swinging in wags. Whenever Slay was ready, she would be too. He just needed to give the signal at the right moment, and Catalyst would be off dashing to the church and doing her part until Slay was able to obtain a honeycomb in success. |

If it's alright with you, I'm going to make this the ending post and archive it from here. Thanks for the thread, it was fun! <3 400+
With Slay speaking about that the two should keep this incident as their own little secret, the stub of her tail wagged enthusiastically, liking the idea of keeping sneaky secrets among an adult. Her head simply nodded in agreement to him, promising that she wouldn't utter a word about this (not even to her own siblings, knowing that they would probably be blabbermouths about it anyway!) At the sounding of go!, Catalyst watched with an excited gleam as Slay went at colossal speeds toward the hive. His large paws beating against the ground, it sounded like thunder, making him seem like a great, god-like being that pounded the earth. Catalyst had not start running to the church doors just yet, she was too entranced to see what would happen to Slay when he got to the hive, and if the bees would get him. Watching as how he leapt into the air like a fearless beast, Catalyst's dual eyes blinked in astonishment, her jaw falling agape as Slay actually got hold of one of the honeycombs from the hive, tearing it down as it landed. All of a sudden, even Catalyst's little ears heard a roaring buzzing emitting from the hive after Slay took their honeycombs, seeing a black mist of a cloud following Slay as he dashed away from them as fast as he could. Catalyst cheered for Slay, but as soon as he was heading her way at breakneck speed, that meant it was her cue to run to the church doors and get them in and shut it before the bees got to them. Her paws scrambled in a hurry, bolting for the church steps. Of course Slay would pick up to her pace in no time (as well as the bees), so before Catalyst could even disappear behind the doors to begin pushing them close (in which she didn't have enough strength to do anyways), Slay bellowed that her honeycomb was in the possession of her now, watching it sail over her head and arrive in the church before her. Bolting and disappearing then into the church, she recovered the honeycomb in her mouth and brought it back to the church's entrance. A little puzzled at first that Slay took the detour away from the church, Catalyst didn't understand until the cloud of bees followed right behind him. The honeycomb, it tasted delightful! She would certainly have to thank Slay for the gift and his antics from this afternoon. Guess life here wouldn't be as bad as she thought it would be after all. |
